Jacobijoux was established in Conakry Guinea in 1980 when its founder, Jacob Safwan, took over his master’s workshop. Jacob founded his first company at the tender age of 16 when he began working alongside a more experienced jeweler. He met a diamond dealer who told him that he found a Diamond 1300 carat at 50cm depth in BananKoro, so his entrepreneurial flair, opportunistic nature, and courage in taking risks all contributed him to digging in the ground for around 4 hours till he found 1.5 carat Diamond without getting bored, that contribute to his business trajectory. He opened his first office for precious and semi-precious gemstones in 1990. He started to sell to Belgica for the Chalhoub Family for an Indian company and Dubai. Despite immense uncertainty and unrest during the ongoing Lebanon Revolution, Jacobijoux continued to see success and growth over the next decade, opening the first Jacobijoux boutique in 2022 located in street Rabieh, Matn. The founder Safwan reputation remains highly regarded the world over as one of the most renowned diamond traders in Guinea Africa and Lebanon. His legacy and leadership of uncompromising standards are the most essential and treasured wealth we own. The brand has been supplying high-fashion jewelry all over the world for 44 years already!
